American-Mexican Comedian

I think performing is more of part of my breathing process.

Audrey Mora is a writer, and stand-up comedian; she has been writing and producing comedy for the past 6 years, and she has been performing since she was 8 years old. She’s been featured in New York Times, wrote an article for Teen Vogue, published a book with Poets & Writers / NYC Council Arts. Audrey’s comedy focuses on her journey from Aguascalientes Mexico, where she was the youngest of 8 kids, to America.

Audrey developed an interest in performing in front of people and make them laugh in her early years, she was only 8 years old when she was already part of the scenic arts of the Columna de Aguascalientes at the cultural center of Aguascalientes.

She was part of the Improv group at Cultural Center Tercera Llamada, also where she was part of the staff for almost 2 years, 2010 to 2012.

In Aguascalientes 2011, she created a project called KUROWI, this project got the first place locally and it went to nationals, this opened a lot of doors for her, she was part of the startup incubator (Nodus the creative center) in the entertainment for kids.

In 2012, She was part of the puppet festival at the cultural center Tercera Llamada, where people all around Mexico went to perform.

In 2014 she moved to C-Ville, VA, where she joined the Spanish theater Group, (this group celebrated 40 years last February 2020). During this year she trained with Fernando Operé, Fernando Valverde and Alicia López Operé. While living in VA she worked in voice over, video editing and video production with Mark Vyrros who has experience as a program manager with NASA, DISA, US Postal Service, and Veterans Administration.

She moved to New York in 2015 looking for bigger opportunities, she performed with various big names in the comedy field including Jerry Seinfeld, Carlos Ballarta and Jim Gaffigan at Gotham Comedy Club and Broadway Comedy Club. She has interviewed critically acclaimed comedy celebrities, like Hasan Minhaj, Ken Jeong, Scott Aukerman, Gabriel Iglesias, Sherri Shepherd, Gary Owen, Chris Kattan, Whitney Cummings, and Marlon Wayans.

She is also a regular performer in Broadway Comedy Club and Greenwich Comedy Club, she’s always performing in clubs around the city. Audrey also performed her one-woman variety show at the Hotel RL (The Living Stage).

Audrey has auditioned for America’s Got Talent, Apollo Theater, HBO latinos, Viva Live Tv, Stand Up NBC, NBC Writers Room, Bring the Funny, Viva la Risa, NY Comedy Festival, LA Comedy Festival and Jersey City Comedy Festival, where only on Jersey City Comedy festival she was selected.

For the last past years, she has been producing and hosting an open mic called “Get It Going- Mic” where she gives the opportunity to amateur or professional artists to perform. She’s also performing in new spaces as parks, rooftops around the city and zoom events around the world in Spanish and English.

Now in 2022 she is ready to open the show for 2 big comedians from Mexico City Alex Fernandez and Daniel Sosa at Carolines on Broadway.

Her quick wit and hilarious personality light up any stage she’s on. It’s always a treat, her unique accent, style and dynamic stage presence captivate young and old audiences alike, as she calls herself, she’s an international sensation with bad pronunciation.
